Scholarships for Vocational, Career or Technical Program

The student must:

• Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and include with the application materials a copy of their most recent high school transcript or a copy of their GED. If home schooled, provide a copy of the State Certificate and transcript.
• Intend to pursue post high school vocational, career and technical studies at an accredited school or trade school that provides industry recognized credentials. 
• Complete all the questions on the application form and be signed by the student and their legal guardian. 
• Provide a personal statement letter which includes a brief family background, any barriers that they have had to overcome and why they want to further their education.
• Provide two letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, club leaders, church pastors, etc. Optional: copies of awards, certificates, newspaper clippings, etc. received in recognition of school and community activities.
• Submit all application materials to the Lake Chelan Lions Club to be received by May 3, 2024.
• Use Scholarship funds only for school related expenses (tuition, fees, books, required specialized class supplies and equipment).
• Notify the Lake Chelan Lions Club by August 15th of the name and address of the school they will be attending in the fall of 2024.  Access to scholarship funds is through their school’s financial aid office.  Prior Lions Club approval is needed for a deferred scholarship funding date.
