The Lake Chelan Lions Club is a community-based humanitarian international service club. The Lake Chelan Club provides services for community hearing and sight needs, diabetics, youth and elderly and partners with other local organizations in the Lake Chelan Valley that seek to create opportunities for its residents.
The Lake Chelan Lions Cub is soliciting applications for the Harvey Cooper Memorial Scholarships. Four $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to Lake Chelan Valley students planning to pursue post high school studies in vocational, career or technical programs at an accredited school or a trade school that provides industry recognized credentials. All completed application materials must be received by April 30,2025. If mailed or submitted to your counselor, the application materials must be placed in a plastic report cover. Mail to the Lake Chelan Lions Club, PO Box 1521, Chelan, WA 98816 or submit online at www.lakechelanlions.org. Career and Technical Education Scholarship Application
Required Documents:
1. Completed Application (Pages 1, 2 & 3)
2. Copy Of Most Recent High School Transcript
3. A Personal Letter Or Statement Which Includes:
a. A brief family background
b. Why you wish to further your education
c. Career goals or plans
4. A list of the following: (list on page 3 or provide a separate activity list)
a. Activities (sports, clubs, church, etc.)
b. Awards or Recognitions (in or out of school)
c. Community Involvement or Service (volunteer)
d. Employment (brief list of places you work either year-round or summer months)
5. Two (2) letters of recommendation
a. Letters can be from a teacher, former employer, pastor, coach or local business person (not relatives)
b. This letter must include:
c. Date
d. In what capacity the person knows you and for how long.
e. Signature of the writer and contact information.
Application deadline: April 30, 2026
